Stayed in August with our daughter and son in law for a concert. The rooms were beautiful and Daniel the owner made us feel very welcoming. We will definitely be returning. Perfect location to anything in Colchester Town and the Castle

Adorável estadia curta neste hotel (1 noite). Estacionamento gratuito no local, a entrada para o estacionamento é extremamente estreita, então você precisa puxar os espelhos retrovisores. O e-mail do hotel confirma isso, o que foi bom para eles adicionarem. Convenientemente perto da cidade, apenas a 5 minutos a pé. Há uma ligeira inclinação, portanto, esteja atento a isso. As instalações do quarto são boas para uma estadia curta. O café da manhã é continental e tinha uma boa variedade de comida. Nice área de estar na parte de trás para desfrutar de bebidas/comida. A equipe realmente adorável e amigável também.

Lovely short stay at this hotel (1 night). Free parking on site, the entrance to the car park is extremely narrow so you do have to pull in your wing mirrors. Email from the hotel does confirm this which was nice for them to add. Conveniently close to the town, just a 5min walk. There is a slight incline though so be mindful of that. Bedroom facilities are good for a short stay. Breakfast is continental and had a good variety of food. Nice seating area out the back to enjoy drinks/ food. Staff really lovely and friendly too.

Pequeño y encantador hotel con una ubicación ideal para explorar Colchester. El propietario fue extremadamente amable y servicial al actualizar nuestra habitación a una con aire acondicionado en uno de los días más calurosos del año. Cama cómoda y baño encantador con todo impecablemente limpio. El desayuno continental era muy bueno. Definitivamente lo recomendaría.

Lovely little hotel ideally situated for exploring Colchester.
Owner was extremely friendly and helpful upgrading our room to one with air conditioning on one of the hottest days of the year . Comfy bed and lovely en-suite with everything spotlessly clean. Continental breakfast was very good. Would definitely recommend.

Muito decepcionante, não fomos informados antes de reservarmos a nossa estadia que o hotel não tinha um chef, consequentemente não havia café da manhã ou jantar disponível. Só fomos informados disso na chegada. O café-da-manhã continental disponível foi sem brilho. Fomos informados de que o bar não estaria aberto até quarta-feira à noite. O nosso quarto era no bloco estável e pequeno e cansado, sem cadeira adequada. Não havia atmosfera no hotel, embora os dois funcionários com quem falamos foram agradáveis. Nós não vamos voltar.. uma pena.

Muy decepcionante, no nos informaron antes de reservar nuestra estadía que el hotel no tenía un chef, por lo tanto, no había desayuno ni cenas disponibles. Solo nos dijeron esto al llegar. El desayuno continental disponible era mediocre. Nos dijeron que el bar no estaría abierto hasta el miércoles por la noche. Nuestra habitación estaba en el bloque del establo y era pequeña y gastada, sin una silla adecuada. No había nada de ambiente en el hotel, aunque los dos miembros del personal con los que hablamos eran agradables. No volveremos... una pena.

Very disappointing,we were not informed before we booked our stay that the hotel did not have a chef, consequently there was no cooked breakfast or evening meals available.We were only told this on arrival. The continental breakfast available was lacklustre. We were told the bar would nor be open until Wednesday evening. Our room was in the stable block and small and tired looking with no proper chair.There was no atmosphere at all in the hotel although the two staff we spoke to were pleasent. We will not be returning.. a pity.

Booked in for an afternoon tea. Easy to book and very helpful on the phone. Upon arrival the service was excellent and Danny the manager looked after us from start to finish. Wonderful experience and would book again
