Good as a stopover on ones way to the ferries servicing mainland Europe and Channel Islands. Convenient from the train station (Portsmouth Harbor) and the Gun wharf area is good, despite the chained stores and eateries. First floor reception area makes the hotel look somewhat impersonal and cold.
