Customer service is absolutely horrible. I have been here many times when it was privately owned and it was great. Now that it is Wyndham it is horrible. I booked a balcony room to have a view of the mountains. I asked when I checked in if the balcony has chairs. The lady at the front desk didn’t have a clue. My goodness, if you work here there are basic things you should know. Then she gave me a room that has a brick wall on the balcony and it is impossible to see the mountains while sitting at the table. I returned to the front desk and asked for a room without a wall blocking the view. She repeatedly said “All the balcony rooms are like that”. I asked her to step outside and look up for herself to see this is absolutely not true. I was eventually moved a few room down the hall to a room with a view. She needs some serious training. I also found trash on my balcony chair.

A gerência do hotel definitivamente deixa você querendo e precisa desesperadamente de treinamento em hospitalidade. Das 4 vezes que me hospedei aqui, nem uma vez minha reserva foi correta, a equipe não está na mesma página e as respostas não são transparentes se você receber uma resposta. No entanto, o próprio hotel é absolutamente lindo e em uma localização tão conveniente que continuarei a ficar aqui. Espere refeições e serviços abaixo da média por preços que não refletem a qualidade (muito caro). Mas, novamente, localização! E a história por trás do hotel é incrível! Se por nada mais, faça um tour pelos jardins e veja o hotel pelo menos uma vez! Reminiscente do Stanley em CO!

The hotel management definitely leave you wanting and are in desperate need of hospitality training. Out of the 4 times I've stayed here, not once was my Reservation correct, staff is not on the same page and the responses are not transparent if you even receive a response. However, the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and in such a convenient location that I will continue to stay here. Expect sub-par meals and service for prices that do not mirror the quality (overpriced). But again, location! And the history behind the hotel is amazing! If for nothing else, take a tour of the grounds and see the hotel at least once! Reminiscent of the Stanley in CO!

A estadia foi boa. A taberna da raposa vermelha foi ótima! Principalmente por causa de Chris a garçonete/barman.! No barman! Ela é muito criativa com bebidas deliciosas maravilhosas. Meu marido gostou de seu frango minha família gostou um pouco do que eles tinham. Eu sou um vegano, eles não têm muito em termos de comida por estarem nisso. Café da manhã ou jantar. Mas Chris foi o melhor!

Precisávamos ficar apenas 1 noite no caminho de volta para casa de Arlington enquanto paramos para apreciar a beleza da Ponte Natural na manhã seguinte. Foi confortável, com certeza ficaria aqui novamente. Eu realmente queria dar uma classificação mais alta, porque gosto de ficar em hotéis históricos, mas fiquei desapontado com a limpeza. Primeiro, o elevador nunca foi aspirado durante toda a estadia. O nosso quarto tinha um conceito de armário aberto onde o chão não foi limpo em eu não poderia dizer quanto tempo. A porta do banheiro estava nitidamente suja onde estava a maçaneta, assim como o telefone. Na verdade, eu mesmo limpei essas áreas. A equipe da recepção nunca sorriu e não foi nem um pouco útil. Eu dei 3 estrelas porque eu realmente gosto do hotel e a comida do restaurante era boa e os funcionários eram muito agradáveis. A gerência precisa cuidar de algumas questões de limpeza e treinamento de pessoal.

Nossa estadia aqui foi horrível. Funcionários muito inúteis e hostis na recepção. Alugamos dois quartos, um para nossos filhos crescidos e outro para nós mesmos. No quarto dos meus filhos no prédio principal, a caldeira estava quebrada, então o quarto deles parecia 95 graus e eles se deitaram em uma poça de suor a noite toda. Nosso quarto do outro lado do hotel estava imundo, o banheiro não liberava nem papel higiênico, tínhamos uma meia suja em nossa cama e há apenas persianas na janela, então quando você apaga as luzes para ir para a cama à noite, as luzes externas da varanda e do estacionamento brilham como se você nunca tivesse apagado as luzes, então dormimos como se as luzes nunca fossem apagadas. Insetos no parapeito da janela, pisos sujos, a pressão do chuveiro era como gotas de água. O gerente ou alguém tentou dizer em meus outros comentários que nunca reclamamos até de manhã, então eles não tinham idéia, mas isso é falso. Completamente falso. Nós reclamamos e ninguém se importou. Ninguém se desculpou e ninguém se importou. A equipe da recepção foi simplesmente horrível. Não fique neste hotel sujo, caro, insuportavelmente quente e horrível.

Nós apreciamos completamente a nossa estadia! O restaurante era bom para o preço, o quarto tinha uma bela vista da floresta, e a caminhada até o parque estadual era curta e doce. Tivemos boas experiências com a equipe do hotel e gostamos da academia também. Se voltarmos à ponte natural novamente, certamente ficaremos aqui! É realmente um hotel de montanha pitoresco

I really wanted to give it a higher rating, because I like staying at historic hotels, but I was disappointed in the cleanliness.First, the elevator was never vacuumed the entire stay. Our room had an open closet concept where the floor hasnt been cleaned in I couldn't say how long. The bathroom door was distinctly dirty where the handle was, as well as the phone. I actually wiped off those areas myself. Thefront desk staff never smiled and was not the least bit helpful. I gave 3 stars because I actually like the hotel and the restaurant food was good and the staff were very nice. The management needs to take care of some cleaning issues and staff training.

We needed to stay only 1 night on our way back home from Arlington while we stopped to take in the beauty of the Natural Bridge the next morning. It was comfortable, would definitely stay here again. We came in later in the evening and were thankful they had a room available as it was packed with those attending their VA Miltary Institute Reunion.

The stay was fine. The red fox tavern was great! Mostly because of Chris the waitress/bartender.! On the bartender! She’s very very creative with wonderful delicious drinks. My husband enjoyed his chicken my family enjoyed some of what they had. I am a vegan they don’t have much in the way of food from being in this. Breakfast or dinner. But Chris was the best!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The restaurant was good for the price, room had a nice view of woods, and the walk to the state park was short and sweet. We had good experiences with the hotel staff and liked the fitness center too. If we come back to natural bridge again we will certainly stay here! It’s truly a quaint mountain hotel

Our stay here was horrible. Very unhelpful and unfriendly staff at the front desk. We rented two rooms one for our grown up kids and one for ourselves. In my kids room in the main building the boiler was broken so their room felt like 95 degrees and they laid in a pool of their own sweat all night. Our room on the other side of the hotel was filthy, the toilet wouldn’t flush even toilet paper down, we had a dirty sock in our bed and there are only blinds on the window so when you turn out the lights to go to bed at night the outside lights from the porch and parking lot shine in as if you never even turned the lights out so we slept as if the lights were never turned off. Bugs on the window ledge, dirty floors, the shower pressure was like drips of water. The manager or someone tried to say in my other reviews that we never complained until morning so they had no idea but that is false. Completely false. We did complain and no one cared. No one apologized and no one cared. The front desk staff was just awful. Do not stay at this dirty, over priced, unbearably hot, horrible hotel.

So, the picture on the main google page is the Wyndham. The main website is more accurate. There's no elevator so if you are in the need of one for ADA reasons, that would be a no.
For people with allergies, the rooms are super dusty. I had to step outside at 3am to breathe. Fan/heating unit sounds like a cat scratching in its box all night.
Door to the bathroom doesn't stay shut and the bathroom itself is disgusting.
Beds do not look like the website at all. Fridge doesn't work so my insulin was ruined. On top of everything we ate at the restaurant and got food poisoning.
If you're looking for a remote area and a hot and a cot, this would suffice. If you are thinking historical means the outside and the rooms would be renovated, or at least comfortable, then don't waste 119 plus taxes and holding fees.

Recentemente veio para ficar no hotel por uma noite com 4 outras meninas. Nós nos divertimos muito visitando a ponte natural e as cavernas! O lobby do hotel era incrivelmente bonito, pois estava decorado para o Natal. Em comparação com o lobby os quartos foram uma desilusão absoluta. Os quartos foram um pouco sujo cabelo estava no chuveiro, insetos mortos no peitoril da janela, manchas nas paredes. Nossa tv estava quebrada também. Estávamos bem com isso durante a noite, pois estava quente e fora da chuva. Talvez não fosse tão bom porque parecia ser a baixa temporada. O restaurante parecia ser um sucesso ou um fracasso ENORME. Os aperitivos foram excelentes, assim como as batatas fritas, mas o meu hambúrguer era muito mastigável e meu queijo gourmet de irmãs grelhado foi dois pedaços encharcados do que parecia pão de maravilha. Existem alguns aspectos que poderiam ser melhorados, mas no geral eu e minha família nos divertimos, mas provavelmente não voltaríamos a este hotel.

Recently came to stay at the hotel for one night with 4 other girls. We had a great time visiting the natural bridge and caverns! The hotel lobby was incredibly beautiful as it was decorated for Christmas. Compared to the lobby the rooms were an absolute let down. The rooms were slightly dirty hair was in the shower, dead bugs on the windowsill, stains on the walls. Our tv was broken as well. We were fine with this for the night as it was warm and out of the rain. Maybe is wasn't as nice because it seemed to be the off season. The restaurant seemed to be a HUGE hit or miss. The appetizers were great, as were the fries but my burger was very chewy and my sisters gourmet grilled cheese was two soggy pieces of what looked like wonder bread. There are a few aspects that could be improved but overall my family and I had a fun time but we most likely wouldn't come back to this hotel.
