Constantly broken elevators. They jacked my rent but 27%. Impossible to get office managers on the phone. Trapped me into a second year lease with them by not giving me any notice of how much rent was going up when I was going to be out town for a month and a half during the time I could move out even though I asked for 3 months to speak with someone.Thin walls and can hear everything your neighbors do.
If you’re looking to live here but can afford somewhere else, go somewhere else. There’s constant maintenance issues in the building. There are two elevators. Both rarely work at the same time. In a building of this many people, that’s unacceptable. I get the building is old but c’mon. The laundry room has been out of commission for two weeks now as well. When the hot months come around I’ve had a ceiling leak from the HVAC unit both years I’ve lived here without fail.My suggestion is do not give this building your business. Find a new one.

Excellent place to live! Spacious and well-lit apartments with a wonderful and helpful staff.
No geral, bastante satisfeito, teria apreciado que um apartamento mais limpo foi entregue a nós, ou uma limpeza profunda antes de nos mudarmos! Nós passamos muito tempo limpando o lugar !! En general, bastante satisfecho, me hubiera gustado que nos entregaran un apartamento más limpio o una limpieza profunda antes de mudarnos. Pasamos mucho tiempo limpiando el lugar !! Overall pretty satisfied, wouldve appreciated a cleaner apartment was handed to us, or a deep cleaning before we moved in! We spent a lot of time cleaning the place up!! Gym can also use some serious uplift and newer equipment as theyre all super old and hard to change the seating positions - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings

Me encanta el gimnasio, tiene todas las pesas libres, soporte para sentadillas y cintas de correr. También hay una pista al aire libre / parque para perros a 2 cuadras de distancia.
Realmente aprecio todos os funcionários do edifício! Jared e Ashley foram muito gentis e profissionais. Grato por eles me ajudarem a me estabelecer em Chicago este ano! Ótima experiência ao entrar na minha primeira unidade. No meio do ano, comecei a me interessar em mudar as unidades do prédio. Tanto Jared quanto Ashley tornaram a transição sem estresse. Também sou grato a Viva, Victor, Karen e Robert por seu calor e energia e por lidar com o fluxo constante de pacotes enviados para eles! Os reparos e a manutenção sempre foram oportunos e convenientes por meio do aplicativo de mensagens do telefone.Eu adoro a localização do prédio, próximo ao campus Northwestern Law and Medical. Adoro academia, tem todos pesos livres, rack de agachamento e esteiras. Há também uma pista ao ar livre / parque para cães a 2 quarteirões de distância.
Really appreciate all of the staff in the building! Jared and Ashley have been so kind and professional. Grateful for them helping me settle into Chicago this year! Great experience moving into my first unit. Midway through the year I became interested in shifting units in the building. Both Jared and Ashley made the transition stress free. Also am grateful for Viva, Victor, Karen, and Robert for their warmth and energy and dealing with the constant flow of packages sent their way! Repairs and maintenance were always timely and convenient through the phone app messaging. I love the building's location, next to Northwestern Law and Medical campus. Love the gym, has all free weights, squat rack and treadmills. There is also an outdoor track/dog park 2 blocks away.
Mi experiencia de vivir en The Seneca durante los últimos 4 (continuando 5) años ha dependido por completo del personal de administración en este momento. ¡Alta rotación! Han pasado por tres equipos de administración durante mi tiempo aquí y mis experiencias más recientes han sido bastante malas. El administrador del edificio es combativo y no muy comprensivo ni compasivo cuando le he pedido ayuda. No hace falta decir que estoy en una posición en la que me siento incómodo el 95% del tiempo que estoy "en casa". No voy a renovar mi contrato de arrendamiento por quinto año a pesar de que me encanta mi apartamento y está muy cerca de donde trabajo.Me comuniqué con la administración el fin de semana pasado porque descubrí moho negro en mis conductos de ventilación y techos después de estar enfermo durante dos semanas con resultados negativos de COVID. Debido a que la administración no respondió, también hablé directamente con el personal de mantenimiento y, aunque inmediatamente limpiaron el moho expuesto, todavía estoy esperando el reconocimiento del gerente.Eso debería decirte todo. Lamentablemente, esto era exactamente lo que esperaba considerando mis interacciones pasadas.Un montón de ventajas porque este es un pequeño edificio encantador con mucha historia y una excelente ubicación. Minha experiência morando no The Seneca nos últimos 4 (ou quase 5) anos tem sido totalmente dependente da equipe de gerenciamento no momento. Alta rotatividade! Eles passaram por três equipes de gestão durante meu tempo aqui e minhas experiências mais recentes foram muito ruins. O gerente do prédio é combativo e não muito compreensivo ou compassivo quando peço ajuda. Desnecessário dizer que estou em uma posição em que me sinto desconfortável 95% do tempo em que estou "em casa". Não estou renovando meu contrato de arrendamento pelo quinto ano, apesar de amar minha unidade e estar perto de onde trabalho.Entrei em contato com a gerência no último fim de semana porque descobri mofo preto em minhas saídas de ar e tetos depois de passar duas semanas doente com teste negativo para COVID. Como a gerência não estava respondendo, também falei diretamente com a manutenção e, embora eles imediatamente limpassem o molde exposto, ainda estou esperando o reconhecimento do gerente.Isso deve te contar tudo. Infelizmente, isso era exatamente o que eu esperava, considerando minhas interações anteriores.Muitos prós porque este é um pequeno edifício encantador com muita história e excelente localização. My experience living at The Seneca over the past 4 (going on 5) years has been entirely dependent on the management staff at the moment. High turnover! They’ve gone through three management teams during my time here and my most recent experiences have been pretty poor. The manager of the building is combative and not very understanding or compassionate when I’ve asked for help. Needless to say, I’m in a position where I feel uncomfortable 95% of the time I’m “home”. I am not renewing my lease for a fifth year despite loving my unit and it’s close proximity to where I work.I contacted management last weekend because I discovered black mold on my air vents and ceilings after being sick for two weeks testing negative for COVID. Because management was unresponsive,I also spoke directly with maintenance and while they immediately wiped off the exposed mold I am still waiting on acknowledgment from the manager.That should tell you everything. Sadly, this was exactly what I expected considering my past interactions.Plenty of pros because this is such a charming little building with loads of history and great location. I would just caution anyone simply due to the fact that management has been so difficult to work with.
Me alojé en los apartamentos Seneca en un alquiler a corto plazo durante 1 mes en mayo / junio de 2021. El personal fue excepcional; muy amable y complaciente. El gimnasio tenía un buen equipo y se limpiaba varias veces al día. Viví en el Seneca durante casi dos años y siempre fue satisfactorio. La terraza de la azotea era la mejor parte, e hizo que vivir allí en el verano fuera genial. El personal es atento, los porteros y porteros fueron muy amables. Se Hospedaram no Seneca Apartments em um aluguel de curta duração por 1 mês em maio / junho 2021. A equipe foi excepcional; muito simpático e acolhedor. A academia tinha um bom equipamento e era limpa várias vezes ao dia. Se você gosta de morar no centro da cidade, este local é imbatível, a vizinhança parece segura, enquanto a equipe de portaria lhe dá uma sensação adicional de segurança. Toda a experiência com Sêneca foi muito segura e amigável.
Morei no Seneca quase dois anos e sempre foi satisfatório. As comodidades eram excelentes - várias TVs no lounge do andar térreo, além de um lounge agradável no andar superior. O deck da cobertura era a melhor parte, e tornava a vida lá no verão ótimo. O pessoal é atencioso, os porteiros e as portarias foram muito simpáticos. Era bom ter uma academia lá também, para economizar $ na assinatura da academia. O valor dado a localização foi 10/10 também.
Como minha primeira vez morando sozinho, não posso nem começar a expressar como O Sêneca superou minhas expectativas. A localização por si só é o equilíbrio perfeito de vida urbana, mas o bairro parece muito confortável. Está perto de muitos cafés e do parque mais fofo! A equipe facilitou chamar isso de lar. Eles são tão genuínos, gentis e acolhedores. É sempre uma alegria vê-los! Eu quase não sabia o que esperar ao me mudar para Chicago, mas a experiência que o Seneca me proporcionou realmente me surpreendeu. Eu não mudaria nada!
As my first time living on my own, I cannot even begin to express how The Seneca has exceeded my expectations. The location alone is the perfect balance of urban living yet, the neighborhood feels so comfortable. It’s nearby many coffee shops & the cutest park! The staff made it easy to call this home. They are the so genuine, kind, & welcoming. It’s always a joy to see them! I almost did not know what to expect when moving to Chicago but the experience The Seneca has given me truly blew my mind away. I wouldn’t change a thing!
I lived at the Seneca for almost two years, and it was always satisfactory. The amenities were great - several TVs in the downstairs lounge, plus a nice upstairs lounge. The rooftop deck was the best part, and it made living there in the Summer great. The staff is attentive, the doormen and doorwomen were so friendly. It was nice to have a gym there as well, to save $ on gym memberships. The value given the location was 10/10 too.
Stayed at the Seneca Apartments on a short-term rental for 1 month in May/June 2021. The staff were exceptional; very friendly and accommodating. Gym had good equipment and was cleaned multiple times daily. If you like downtown living this location can't be beat, neighborhood feels safe, while the door staff give you added sense of security. Whole experience with Seneca felt very safe and friendly.
