Actual stay itself was fine. Front desk staff were polite, helpful, and informative. Covid protocols were all followed, and the hotel itself was clean, if showing a little wear and tear.
A week after our stay we found out we had been charged a $250 smoking fee, despite neither my wife nor I being smokers. During our stay, there were several cars in the parking lot clearly being used to smoke weed. Our hotel room was on the back hall, next to the back elevator accessible from the parking lot and across from the back stairwell, both obvious places smells of smoke could come from.
When we called to dispute the charge, we were told the manager who would be on duty the following morning would be able to help us. When we spoke to her, she told us only the general manager could help, and that he would be out of town for the next several days. She was as unhelpful as could be, and her attitude over the phone was poor at best. I'm hopeful the general manager has better customer service skills than his managers.

Older hotel. Needs updating. Lamp with power outlets didn’t work. Tried to call and get a replacement but there wasn’t a cord for the phone! Old fashioned motel/hotel heat and air that didn’t work well. Close to Busch Gardens though.

I was hired by the new general manager of this property oh, his name is Vishal, he hired me on as the new housekeeping manager. He told me that I would start on one specific day but then pushed it back to two weeks later because of business which is understandable. However he called me one day and told me that he needed me to start 2 Days Later which was no issue. The day that I started I decided not to take the job after completing eight and a half hours of work because he he needed 100 rooms clean for Friday and Saturday. He had one housekeeper there which was 60 years of age and has been with the company for quite a while. He was bringing me on as the housekeeping supervisor which is what he stated but he wanted me to ask you to come on and act as another housekeeper. For me I don't like to work backwards and as I told him at the interview it's smarter to work forward whereas if you bring on the necessary individuals if business is slow you can cut hours but if business is Boomin then you have the bodies he did not have the bodies and he does not listen. He pay me much he wanted to start me off at 27000 a year for 40 to 50 hours a week paid salary which is putting myself backwards because my last job made double that. I was coming in with 14 years management skills and experience, a bachelor's degree, and prior military but because I was trying something new I was willing to do so. But to expect an individual to come in and clean 100 rooms in 2 days with them self and one other housekeeper who is elderly is unethical to say the least. I worked over two weeks ago for this man at the Wyndham Hotel, in Williamsburg Virginia. Ever since I told him that I decided not to take the position he no longer responds to my text messages not only that he refuses to pay me for the eight and a half hours of work that I did do for that one day of work. I have not yet been paid in Payday was Monday it's Wednesday. Do not stay at this hotel he doesn't care about anyone all he cares about is money and his employees vouch for this themselves. It is not okay to have someone do work at a company and you refuse to pay them for the work that they did complete. I will be hiring an attorney hope more than what he owes me because that's unethical work for one and for two you cannot have someone work for you and you not pay them that's against the law

This Hotel is one of the best places I've stayed in in Williamsburg. The Staff are Very friendly and helpful. The look and Cleanliness and the look of this Hotel is Perfect. Definitely would like to stay here again and again. Please come see for yourself. You won't regret it..

Rooms were recently updated. Beds are comfortable. Hotel staff is friendly. Everything was clean. Hotel is cheap for the quality. Our go to choice when going to Busch gardens or water country. Took away a star since they didn’t or serve breakfast (assuming because of Covid).
