I recently booked a hotel room at the Home 2 Suites in Charlotte, NC. When I booked over the phone, I informed them it would be 2 adults, 2 kids and 1 dog. The lady booking told me the total cost of my stay would be $156.66 and sent my confirmation that also showed that price. Then, it wasn't until well after our trip was over, I find that $208.16 was charged to my card. I tried to call the hotel to dispute the charge and was informed by the General Manager, Stefan, that he cannot do anything about it.

The staff here is OUTSTANDING. I held a meeting here in the meeting rooms earlier this week and stayed at the property the night before along with another night towards the end of the same week. The ladies at check-in were great. Tracy is one of them and she was wonderful. I cannot remember the other ladies name, but they were there the next day during my meeting and made sure we had everything we needed the entire day. Susan, the sales manager was also very attentive and helped out during the day. I show up tonight (3 nights later) and Tracy was at the desk again and knew my name right away.
The hotel itself is nice and clean and is an easy drive from CLT airport. Much rather stay here the evening before my flight than by the airport. The likelihood of me being shot here is way less.
Lots of options for dinner. I will say that this area of town doesn't have many choices for a "nice" dinner on Monday as most of the places are closed on Monday around here. There are lots of other choices, but if you are looking for an upscale meal here on a Monday, you need to plan on driving 20 or so minutes.

We thought our stay was going to be wonderful but turns out that wasn’t the case. Multiple guests in our room block had important items stolen while they were gone to the wedding. The hotel has yet to address the issue and it’s been a very disappointing experience.

5 stars all the way. We arrived at 6/7 in the morning after driving all night 12 hours! The desk clerk Tim was Top of the Line, Outstanding, Kind and Professional. Although our room was not ready he gave us a room to relax for a few hours until our room was completed! The atmosphere was clean and comfortable. Customer service was excellent. Food was Great. Whenever we are back in town here is where we will stay! Thanks

The last Home2 I stayed at was phenomenal, here, some of the staff greets you, some ignore you- there's a $150.00 refundable deposit when staying a week, which I completely understand. However, when your company reserves the room, the front desk employees were also supposed to charge that deposit to the corporate credit card-not my personal card. I'd definitely prefer the last home2 I stayed at on Tyvola Dr it's worth the extra drive time to feel welcome.
