Booked, paid and due to Covid19 our trip from Australia was cancelled. Tried to call numerous times 12 months ago, and due to a review left 9 months ago you were obviously open. No contact or answers to emails. Enjoy our money and remember, Carmar is bliss. We will get to America 1 day and will definitely be calling in to see you if you are open.

I stayed at the Mayfair a while ago and was saddened to see it now (hopefully temporarily) closed. This place is adorable. The staff is friendly, the bar next door is adorable and cozy, and I have great memories of staying here before I moved to France a few years back. This place definitely has character. Now that I live in the neighborhood, when it reopens I will certainly recommend it to family and friends coming to visit!

The rooms, as well as the bathrooms are clean and smell nice, also being cleaned daily, the staff is very kind, and helpful if you have any problems or don't know your way around the city, they're there for you. Price is reasonable for the sake of the location, for me there's nothing better you can get for that amount of money nearby Times Square, highly recommend for somebody looking for reasonably cheap stay in Downtown Manhattan in fairly convenient room conditions. It may look kind of old fashioned place to stay at first sight, but believe me you're going to love this place and embrace it after a day or two, it's cosy, it's quiet, close to all key locations in New York City, and if you're in mood for late night snack, there's 24 hour deli right next to the hotel, so you're all set. For that price, there's no competition in Downtown, highly recommend both for long or short stay, go for it!

It's at best a 2 atar hotel. The location is good but its old, really old. The elevator can barely fit 2 people with book bags, and that's when it works. The decor is from the 70's and needs a huge make over. The heat was constantly on, and the ac unit is above a window so it's near the ceiling so you can't see the display to know what setting it's on. We got there at 2:37 but didn't get our room key till 3:23. We asked for a late check out and were told we had till 1pm but were asked to leave at 12:40 and rushed out. For a few buck more there a much, much better hotels within blocks.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was tiny - just a bed and bathroom, but that's literally all we needed. Interior is dated, but room was clean, quiet, and bed was comfortable. Centrally located in the middle of the Theater District, just a stones throw from Times Square. For the price you just can't beat the location. We would stay here again!

I was honestly nervous about our stay at the Mayfair Hotel after reading some of the Google reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. My husband and I stayed 6 nights in June for a vacation. The location is perfect for walking to Broadway shows, restaurants, and Times Square - and so close to the subway station. The air conditioner was loud but worked well, the room and bathrooms were dated but clean, and we never saw any bugs. The elevator was small and slow but it got us up and down from 7th floor each day without issues. We called down to the front desk to bring additional towels to our room, and we asked them to use their printer and the staff was very helpful and kind. If you are looking for a luxurious stay with amazing views, this isn't for you. But if you are looking for an affordable hotel in a great location to sleep in while you're in the city, it does the job! We would stay again.

The staff are absolutely brilliant, so helpful and friendly, we highly recommend your hotel, we would definitely stay there again, also so close to everything , we have stayed in some well known hotels where we were just a room number, The staff at the May Fair hotel made us feel at home and welcome, such a lovely feeling when your far away from home ,

La ubicación es excelente, el wifi anda perfecto, camas cómodas, lo negativo es el tamaño de las habitaciones y que no puedas abrir las ventanas para ventilar, solo un empleado hablaba en español, un día no funcionó el ascensor. Salvo eso, el resto todo bien.

Muy mala atención del personal, salvó las chicas de limpieza, el personal es horrible maleducado y nunca mostraron amabilidad en ayudar en nada. Pésimo. El hotel es antiguo y las habitaciones chicas. Pero funcionaba todo. Las toallas bastante nuevas. El aire muy ruidoso.

Hotel antiguo con muy buena ubicación, varias líneas de subte pasan por ambas esquinas. A pocas cuadras de Times Square. Agua caliente a todas horas, la ducha con buena presión. Cama cómoda. No es un hotel de lujo, tiene lo necesario para el descanso. Sí solo se va a dormir y ducharse, lo recomiendo. El wifi funcionaba perfecto. En mi caso, lo negativo fue que un día no funcionó el ascensor y tuvimos que subir y bajar cinco pisos por escalera.

Perfecta ubicación seguro personal amable limpio con un toque antiguo y romántico, las camas son una maravilla de comodidad de grandes aunque las habitaciones no son muy espaciosas pero todo ello se ve enormemente compensado con la ubicación con la seguridad y con la amabilidad del personal del hotel. Sin dudarlo volver a ser mi hotel en mis próximos viajes a Nueva York

Muy buen hotel. Lo más tranquilo en una zona llena de gente a 3 cuadras del Time Square. La cama 👌y la limpieza perfecta. Estuvimos 5 días y no tenemos una observación negativa. Al contrario.

Estuve hace 2 años 15 días!!! Mis peores vacaciones. Hotel viejo y deplorable. Habitación pequeña sin ventilación. El ascensor deplorable daba a mi habitación. El ruido fue insoportable. No tuvieron consideración. No se podía dormir de noche.ubicación muy buena.

Frankly, I was nervous because of some of the reviews.But they have clearly put a lot of work into refurbishment.You can still smell paint in the hallway (not in the room.) It is small but I wasn't looking for a large suite. The twin bed is actually more like a full. Perfect for one person. Carpet is still a bit shabby but new bathroom fixtures and tiles.Clean with a soft, comfy bed.It was pretty warm out (almost 60 degrees in Feb.) Because there is no temp control, the room was hot! But I covered the vent with a blanket and it was fine. So close to everything and I heard no street noise.Slept like a baby. I'd come back here. A great deal in Manhattan!

Excelente diría. Ubicación perfecta. El personal muy amable. La habitación y el edificio muy acogedores y pintorescos. Precio acorde. El wifi gratis anda excelente. Las habitaciones y baños están muy bien equipadas. Lo único que mejoraría sería la seguridad.

Esta muy bien ubicado pero la "habitación doble" es una cama casi individual y el cuarto es minúsculo. Un día no había agua caliente... A 0 grados centigrados. Cosa buena es que esta super bien ubicado
